Future Driver Training

1. Vehicle Safety & Maintenance

All Future Driver Training vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained, including tyres, brakes, and overall roadworthiness.
Vehicles comply with all NSW road safety and registration requirements at all times.

2. Tyre Damage During Lessons

Tyre damage may occur due to road hazards such as nails, glass, potholes, or debris.

Unavoidable road hazards
If a tyre is damaged due to normal driving conditions and not caused by student negligence, Future Driver Training will cover the cost of repair or replacement.

Negligence or misuse
If tyre or wheel damage occurs as a result of striking or mounting kerbs, ignoring instructor directions, or unsafe, reckless, or unauthorised manoeuvres, the student (or parent/guardian for minors) may be responsible for repair or replacement costs.

3. Accidents During Driving Lessons

An accident is defined as any collision or incident involving the lesson vehicle, another vehicle, property, or pedestrian. The instructor will immediately take control of the situation and determine the appropriate actions following an accident.

4. Police Notification & Legal Reporting

Police will be contacted where required by NSW law, including situations involving injury, significant vehicle or property damage, failure of another party to provide required details, or suspected illegal or dangerous behaviour. The instructor may contact police without student consent if required for safety or legal compliance. Students must cooperate fully with police, insurers, and Future Driver Training following any incident.

5. Insurance & Liability

All Future Driver Training vehicles are fully insured. Insurance excesses and repair costs may be recoverable from the student or parent/guardian where damage or accidents result from negligent, reckless, or unlawful behaviour.

6. Acceptance of Policy

By booking and participating in lessons with Future Driver Training, students and parents/guardians acknowledge and agree to this policy, including police involvement where required by. law.
